On March 18, 2016, the Milwaukee Business Journal released a list of largest Milwaukee-area computer consulting firms. Companies were ranked by the number of computer consultants at locations in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Walworth, Ozaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties.

VCPI ranked number 12 out of 26 companies, with 108 local computer consultants and 160 local staff members.

In addition to making the list, VCPI's Director of Sales and Marketing, Michelle Dalton, and CEO, Dan Weise, were interviewed as part of a "behind the list" series at the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The article focuses on the sale of VCPI from its then-parent company, Extendicare. VCPI took a large cut to its annual revenue stream with the sale, but with strategic changes and an opportunity for growth, the company got right back on its feet.
